Foundation Purpose

The purpose of the foundation is to provide financial assistance to worthy college bound students who supply evidence of financial need, are of good character, are motivated to continue their education, and would probably not be able to enter and complete their college education without such assistance.

Funding
The Foundation funding comes from members of the Washington D.C. Pro-Duffers Golf Club, the Memorial Golf
Tournament Fundraiser, and other public and private support.

Established Annual Memorial Golf Event & Scholarship Awards
The Pro-Duffers Memorial Golf event was established to provide educational opportunities for African American youths. The event is played each year in June and open to all competitive golfers.

Over the past 30 years, The Foundation has awarded over $200,000 in scholarship funding to deserving students
mainly from the funds raised by the Memorial Golf Tournament.

Jim Martin Scholarship
Legendary past President of the Washington DC chapter, National President of the Pro-Duffers USA, and friend to golfers all over the USA. Scholarship was established in his honor.
